Within 5 min's walk from the harbour beach, our simple and comfortable three-bedroom flat, located in the centre of Antalya's lively and picturesque old town, Kaleici, an area full of bars, restaurants and shops, offers a great holiday opportunity for those who prefer the option of self-catering.

Our flat is cleaned and disinfected according to the local authority Covid-19 regulations.
This is a simple and comfortable first-floor flat ideally located in Antalya's beautiful old town. There are three bedrooms, but would ideally sleep 4 people as there is just one bathroom, and the third bedroom (with two single beds) only has curtains instead of a door. This could be an ideal room for children, however. The flat is an ideal place for those on a smaller budget who also want the freedom of self-catering.

The entire flat is available to guests.

A local family member will be available to answer questions / help with anything during your stay.

The flat is located in the centre of Antalya's lively and picturesque old town, Kaleici, an area full of bars, restaurants and shops. Please be aware that some people may find it noisy at night.

The flat is located directly above a small shop which sells tea, biscuits, a small selection of fruit, dairy products etc.

There is a bakery just up the hill behind the flat where you can buy fresh bread and simits (turn left out the flat, take the first left and then turn left again up the hill - the bakery is opposite a ceramics shop).
Near the bakery is a small shop (Enişte Market) where you can buy fruit, milk and basic groceries as well as beer and wine.

There is also the harbour, where you can arrange a boat trip, and a private beach within 5 minutes' walk.

Kaleici is within walking distance of the city centre and public transport options, including the public bus to/from the airport.

Please also note that there is no parking available at this property. The rules for cars entering Kaleici (the old town) are extremely strict. Guests with a rental car would need to park outside the old town and walk to the flat (we can help you locate a parking spot). Driving and parking in Kaleici is also difficult because of the very narrow streets.

Please note that the flat is located in a very lively and busy part of the old town and some people may find it noisy, especially at night. We have spent lots of time there and have found that, with the windows and balcony closed, the noise level is fine. However, we feel it is only fair to warn people who might be more sensitive to noise.

Also, we also want to tell people in advance that the water pressure in the shower / toilet is not very high. This is a general problem in Turkey and in the building in which the flat is located. Again, we want people to be aware of this before they book / arrive at the flat in case this is a problem for them.

Please also note that there is no parking available at this property. The rules for cars entering Kaleici (the old town) are extremely strict. Guests with a rental car would need to park outside the old town and walk to the flat ( Here is our recommended parking spot).

Here are directions for finding the flat: If you enter at the clock tower entrance to Kaleiçi, the old town, then you head straight until the road forks and you take the left fork. Carry on past the shops and stalls and the flat will be on the left in a small road, opposite a bar called Hollystone, above a little shop called Deniz Market. It should be very easy to find if you follow these directions.

People in Turkey tend not to go by street names, so it might mean that a taxi driver / someone you ask for directions is none the wiser if you show him/her the address and ask for directions. So the bar name is important (Hollystone) and you could also show these directions in Turkish: Saat kulesinden aşağıya inen iki yoldan soldakini takip edin. Hollystone barının karşısındaki apartman. Bakkalın üstündeki daire.

You will also need to make arrangements with Metin for leaving the flat - he will come and pick up the keys from you on the day you leave the flat.

When you arrive at the flat Metin, will be at the flat to welcome you, give you the keys and to explain some of the things in the flat. He will be waiting in the flat when you arrive. The flat is on the first floor - the buzzer isn’t working but Metin will keep an ear open for you…..

WIFI: the flat has WIFI and the password is ##### (Metin will show you the password on the modem).

The flat has air-conditioning in the living room. Please feel free to use it when necessary and we would just ask you to be considerate of the cost and turn it off when you go out and at night. There is a standing fan in the bedroom which we use at night.

Keys and locking the front door: Metin should explain the front door lock to you - but just in case: the key, once inserted in the lock, can only be taken out again if the key is parallel to the ground (and not vertical as with most locks). The grill door is locked by inserting the key with the highest edge pointing upwards.

Shower: again, Metin will explain this to you but here it is in writing: the right tap on the shower should be turned to full and then the dial on the electric shower should be turned on for warm/hot water. To turn the shower off again, turn the electric dial to 0, wait for the water to run cold and then turn the water off at the tap. Please don’t forget to turn the electric heater off …..

Balcony: the balcony has sliding glass panels which can be opened and slid to the left to have an open balcony. We close these panels at night as they make a big difference to the noise levels which carry over from Hollystone. To open the glass panels you need to first unlock the very left panel at the top and bottom, and then you slide the glass panels one at a time to the left and pull them towards you. Metin should also explain this to you.
