Reisgids Faro

Faro center itself doesn't have a beach, therefore you need to rent a car to visit all the places around, or prepare yourself to travel with a ferry, a train or a bus. This way of transport though takes time, and you still need to walk a lot to the first beach from the train/bus stop. The Algarve Forum Center is a must place for shopping, though Faro centrum has fare number of small shops. Take a walk around a place and you'll come across many cathedrals and museums worth seeing, especially old building all covered in famous Portuguese tiles. Food was excellent, especially fresh fish. The municipal market (Mercador Municipal) is also a place to visit, you will find there all kind of fresh fish, vegetables, fruits and many more.

wanneer je naar de algarve wilt en niet alleen met toeristische overwinteraars te maken wilt krijgen is het een heerlijke plek. het stadje is leuk, authentiek met toch voldoende mogelijkheden voor vertier. de omgeving is mooi, een wandeling door het nabij gelegen natuurgebied, met de boot naar de eilanden zijn gemakkelijk te organiseren en plezierige uitstapjes.
een autootje is een aanrader maar wij huurden er een voor %u20AC75 zonder bijkomende kosten, dus dat moet geen probleem zijn.

Located about 3 km north of Estoi. Very quiet neighbourhood. Shopping can be done in the local shops in Estoi or in the bigger shopping malls in Faro (only 15 min away by car).
